Services

Data products. Sustainment. Engineering. Flight test. Manufacturing partnership. Protective wear. We deliver all of it as part of the integrated TCOM portfolio.

Data as a Service

The persistence is ours. The data is yours.

Some customers want elevated awareness without the operational burden of running the platform. TCOM's Data as a Service offerings deliver mission-ready intelligence as managed subscriptions — persistent ISR feeds, wildfire and disaster monitoring, maritime domain awareness, atmospheric and weather data, and beyond-line-of-sight connectivity. TCOM operates the platform. The customer gets the data.

Managed subscription · Direct API access · Custom dashboards and mission-tailored reports · Defense, security, and commercial customer base

Operations, Logistics & Maintenance

Sustainment that keeps the mission flying.

A platform that is not flying is not doing its job. TCOM keeps it flying — with in-country FSRs that know the customer, predictive sparing that prevents downtime, twenty-four-hour engineering reachback, and the training infrastructure to build customer self-sufficiency.

Training is integrated into every stage of sustainment and operations. TCOM develops and delivers operator, maintainer, and mission system training tailored to customer needs — from classroom instruction and hands-on technical training to field exercises and on-site operational support.

Engineering Services

From requirements to mission, engineered.

TCOM provides full-spectrum engineering services to design, integrate, and field complex aerospace systems. Acting as a lead systems integrator, we partner with customers from early concept development through deployment—ensuring solutions are mission-ready, scalable, and operationally effective.

Our engineering organization extends directly to our customers, combining aerostat, UAS, and stratospheric platform expertise with deep experience in systems engineering, software, and payload integration.

Contract Manufacturing

End-to-end manufacturing across two specialized facilities.

TCOM is uniquely positioned with fully integrated, in-house capabilities to design, produce, integrate, and test complete aerostat and advanced aerospace systems. Our manufacturing footprint is purpose-built to support rapid iteration, high-quality production, and seamless transition from development to operations.

Facilities

  • Elizabeth City, NC – Primary aerostat and lighter-than-air production site, co-located with flight test to enable rapid feedback between manufacturing and operations

  • Sioux Falls, SD – Contract manufacturing center specializing in aerospace-grade box build, industrial sewing and sealing, and custom electronic assembly

Capabilities

  • Full system integration and test

  • Aerospace electronics and box build

  • Advanced materials fabrication, sewing, and sealing

  • Low-rate to full-scale production

Infrastructure & Certifications

  • Elizabeth City: 300,000 ft² hangar (1,000 ft length, 150 ft clearance), 50,000 ft² LTA clean room, 41,000 ft² mooring assembly, 225-acre flight campus

  • Sioux Falls: 75,000 ft² production facility

Protective Wear

Aerostar's Protective Wear product line draws on the same large-format fabric manufacturing, materials science, and aerospace-grade quality processes that produce stratospheric balloon envelopes. The same capability that produces a 600,000-cubic-foot stratospheric balloon also produces protective garments engineered for human survival in extreme environments.

OTS Dry Undersuit

The OTS Dry Undersuit integrates thermal protection with a low profile design and is worn underneath a flight suit or standard operator clothes. This lightweight and breathable fabric reduces thermal burden in hot conditions and protects against hypothermia should the wearer enter cold water.

The OTS Dry Undersuit is utilized by the U.S. Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps as well as offshore oil and gas operators around the world for protection from hypothermia in the harshest environments.

Fuel Handler Coverall

Aerostar’s Fuel Handler Coverall provides protection against jet fuel for operators who work inside aircraft fuel tanks and tanks with anti-explosive foams. The Fuel Handler Coverall’s unique fabric provides electrostatic protection and significantly greater protection from jet fuels than treated cotton coveralls while offering breathability that minimizes the risk of heat stress during long duration activity.

Passenger Anti-Exposure Coverall

The Passenger Anti-Exposure (CWU-83/P) is a non-troop passenger anti-exposure protective garment used by the U.S. Navy. This breathable, constant-wear dry suit is designed to safeguard against hypothermia and other critical conditions.

UAS Test Range

Where ideas take flight.

The Tillamook UAS Test Range (TUTR), located at Tillamook Municipal Airport (KTMK) on the Oregon coast, is the only FAA-designated UAS test range in a maritime environment. As part of the Pan-Pacific UAS Test Range Complex, TUTR provides direct access to the National Airspace System (NAS), supported by deep FAA integration and COA development expertise.

With over 25 years of operational experience, our team delivers a fully managed test environment—handling airspace coordination, safety, and operational deconfliction—so you can focus on advancing your system.

Capabilities

  • 32,000 sq. mi. maritime operating area with diverse terrain and weather

  • Access from surface to 130,000 ft MSL, including above commercial airspace

  • Integrated test, training, and flight operations support

  • End-to-end engineering, integration, and validation environments

Advantages

  • Only maritime UAS test range with established FAA relationships

  • Lower cost and faster execution than government-operated ranges

  • Proven expertise in NAS operations, COA development, and flight safety

  • Scalable support for UAS, stratospheric platforms, and advanced payloads
